JIM LUEBBE

ASCA Level 3 (currently working towards ASCA Level 4 certification)



Jim's swimming background is about as extensive and impressive as any in the country. His resume is filled with swimming and coaching experience and awards which span his entire lifetime. 

 

Jim is working on his ASCA Level 4 Certification (currently holds ASCA Level 3 Certification). He is a NISCA member and a US Masters Swimming member. He swam and played water polo at Ohio State and did his age group swimming with the Cincinnati Marlins. He has spent the last 15 summers as the Head Coach of the Harmony Landing Country Club, where he took the HLCC Tidal Waves swim team to 8 consecutive SFL Championships, and 45 consecutive dual meet wins.

 

Since 2007, Jim has been the Head Coach of the Sacred Heart Academy Swim Team. During this period, he has coached the Valkyries to 7 KHSAA State titles, 3 Runner-up titles, and was twice named Region-II Coach of the Year. Jim was named 2016-17 KHSAA Coach of the Year. Jim was previously an Age Group Coach for Sycamore Flying Fish and the Lakeside Swim Team. While at Lakeside, Jim coached many different age groups including time as the assistant National Team Coach. He also coordinated their swim lesson program.

 

Jim holds 6 Kentucky State USMS swim records, swam in the 2014 FINA World Masters Championships and won the Jo Ann Tingley Spirit Award and Lakeside Masters Outstanding Swim Award.

 

Jim is currently an English teacher at Sacred Heart Academy.
